The mission of Delta Dental of New Jersey and its subsidiaries is to promote oral health to the greatest number of people by providing accessible dental benefit programs of the highest quality, service, and value.
About Delta Dental of New Jersey
- Delta Dental of New Jersey provides or administers dental coverage to more than 1.5 million people in New Jersey and Connecticut.
- Delta Dental of New Jersey is a not-for-profit service corporation, and has been offering dental programs since 1969.
- Delta Dental of New Jersey is a member of the national Delta Dental Plans Association, which serves nearly one-third of the estimated 166 million Americans with dental benefits, providing dental coverage to over 56 million people in nearly 95,700 groups across the nation.
Since 1986, our philanthropic arm, the Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation, Inc., has worked to promote and assist educational projects devoted to the enhancement of dental health, as well as access to dental care programs designed to increase public awareness of the general benefits of good oral health and to improve dental health through the science of dentistry. Each year, the Foundation also provides financial support to various organizations throughout New Jersey, as well as Connecticut, to reach underserved populations.
Our Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization, and we pride ourselves on the variety of programs we have instituted or supported that aid the needy, educate the community, and assist worthwhile oral health related organizations. To date, our Foundation has awarded more than $13.7 million toward dental care for the underserved and dental education programs. The Foundation funds projects only in New Jersey and Connecticut.
