Floss is probably the single most important thing you can do for your teeth. Unlike brushing, the friction created by flossing helps to remove plaque much more efficiently. Fortunately, we aren’t the first to think of cleaning between our teeth.
Floss has gone through a long evolution since the first humans decided to clean out their teeth. From silk to nylon and string floss to flossers, more companies are developing news ways to get people to floss daily.
You should floss once a day. The fluoride can penetrate deep into the crevices if you floss before you brush. Use about 18 inches and try using a clean part of floss for each tooth.
