'Tis the Season for Nostalgia: Jersey Holiday Fun

January 23, 2019

Wintertime seems to bring on nostalgia. Whether it’s A Christmas Story repeats or a cookie-filled kitchen, December makes you want to recreate your childhood. If you’re looking to start or continue family traditions, look no further. We’ve put together a fun, nostalgia-igniting event list to help you get into the holiday spirit.

If you love classic stories and theater, head out to a show like The Nutcracker or A Christmas Carol:

The New Jersey Ballet Company will present the Nutcracker Ballet in December.

The New Jersey Symphony will perform their must-hear Handel’s Messiah concert in December, as well. This show will feature a selection of holiday carols that are sure to put jingle in your step.

Bring the whole family to Singing the Holidays! performed by the Skyline Theatre Company.

Holiday lights are always a sparkling spectacle. Fortunately, you can see lights and luminaries all over New Jersey.

See New Jersey’s largest tree and light display in Cranbury. The Cranbury tree actually has more lights than the Rockefeller Plaza tree!

Come see the Turtle Back Zoo in a whole new light. Their annuaHoliday Lights extravaganza is back this year and promises to be better than ever.
